How to Apply for Financial Aid
Applying for financial aid at Argosy University is easy.
Starting each January, new students can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, as well as download the Argosy University Institutional Financial Aid Application.
Your FAFSA and Institutional Financial Aid Application help determine the amount of assistance you may be eligible for by evaluating factors such as income, assets, number of family members in the household, and number of family members enrolled in college. You must re-apply each year to receive financial aid.
For most financial aid programs, students must also meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Argosy University academic catalog, be enrolled at least half-time per semester, and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
To apply for financial aid, simply follow the three steps below. Argosy University provides on-campus financial aid staff to assist you in the submission of your application. To request more information about financial aid available through Argosy University, contact the Student Finance office at the campus of your choice.
Three Simple Steps to Apply
- Obtain a PIN (personal identification number) from the U.S. Department of Education at www.pin.ed.gov. Use your PIN when completing your FAFSA online.
- Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students must include Argosy University's federal school code (021799) on the application. Submit this form as instructed.
- Complete the Argosy University Institutional Financial Aid Application. Return this form to the Office of Student Finance at your campus.
What Happens Next?
After the Department of Education processes your FAFSA, you'll receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). The Argosy University Office of Student Finance will receive this report electronically and use this information, along with your Institutional Financial Aid Application, to construct your Financial Aid Package.
Argosy University will then send you a financial aid award letter, along with information on additional loan fund options. If the Federal Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized Stafford Loans are part of the financial aid package, a loan entrance interview is necessary.
In order to receive Stafford Loan funds, you must also complete the Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note and return it to the lender. Applications for the Minnesota SELF Loan, the Federal Parent PLUS Loan, and alternative loans are available upon request. If you discover that you need additional funds after receiving your loan award letters, contact your campus Student Finance Office to discuss options.
If you're applying to more than one Argosy University campus, please submit an Institutional Financial Aid Application for your first choice only.
