Transferring internally from one Argosy University location to another
At each Argosy University location, we recognize that sometimes students find themselves wanting to transfer to another Argosy location for personal and/or professional reasons. We also work with transferring students that attended other Colleges or Universities and now desire to attend one of our Argosy University locations.
This section tells you how to proceed with your transfer request specific to your situation. Regardless if your situation is to transfer internally from one Argosy location to another, if you’re interested in transferring to one of our Argosy locations from another College or University or if you withdrew from your Argosy University program previously and now would like to return to Argosy University, but to another location we are here to assist you in making your transfer experience a smooth one!
Are you, or someone you know, a current Argosy University student and thinking of transferring to one of our other Argosy University locations?
Students who want to attend a different Argosy University location may apply for an internal transfer if they are currently enrolled and in good standing at the time of transfer request. Additional requirements for transfer students may be designated at the program or location level.
Students who are transferring internally from one location to another will receive credit for courses taken at the previous location based on the following:
- Courses are accepted for transfer if the course is a requirement, including electives, of the degree program at the new location the student desires to attend.
- Courses with the same course name and number at both locations, in which the student has received an acceptable grade according to the requirements of the new location, will be transferred to the new location.
- The new location will evaluate other courses to determine their eligibility toward degree requirements.
- Courses taken at another Argosy University location will be applied to the overall students’ grade point average (GPA).
Students must submit a completed transfer application to the campus the student is currently attending. Students who are transferring and are applying for a new degree/program may be required to submit additional materials required for admission to the new degree/program. To begin the internal transfer process, please complete your application for internal transfer.
If you were a former Argosy University student and would like to return to an Argosy University location other than the original location previously attended, please contact the admissions office of the location you wish to transfer to in order to begin this process, or begin your application process here.

Transferring Argosy University Credits to Other Institutions
Since Argosy University is a regionally accredited institution, other institutions may elect to accept Argosy University credits. However, students should be aware that the transfer of credit is controlled by the receiving institution, and therefore cannot be guaranteed by Argosy University.
Students considering transferring to an unaffiliated school have the responsibility to determine whether that school will accept Argosy University credits. Argosy University encourages students to make this determination as early as possible. Argosy University does not imply, promise, or guarantee transferability of its credits to any other institution.
We look forward to assisting you in your transfer to your desired Argosy University location!
Note: Transferability of credit is determined by the receiving institution taking into account such factors as course content, grades, accreditation and licensing.
