Masters in Clinical Psychology
The Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology program at Argosy University, Atlanta offers a 48 credit-hour curriculum that can be completed in as little as 2 years, but must be completed within 5 years. The programs curriculum is comprised of coursework and practicum training grounded in the discipline and practices of professional psychology and is designed to prepare individuals for further study of clinical psychology at the doctoral level.
Our MA in Clinical Psychology program is guided by a philosophy similar to that of The Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program. Students are expected to gain knowledge and skills in a manner that is informed by the empirical methods and theoretical foundations of clinical psychology. Our MA students complete a foundation course in research design and statistics and are expected to understand how clinical practice is informed by scientific methods in psychology. Students ability to think critically as clinicians, by utilizing theoretical constructs and empirical findings that guide competent practice, is emphasized throughout the programs curriculum. The MA program offers students a practicum training experience that emphasizes thorough evaluation of clients presenting concerns and provision of effective therapeutic interventions.
Eligibility for Licensure
