Program News & Highlights

  • The Texas School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Dallas became a National Register Designated Doctoral Program in Psychology in 2011. The designation indicates that our program demonstrates to credentialing bodies, students and the public that we meet widely accepted national standards. The designation helps prospective students in choosing programs that meet national criteria, and helps alumni of our program expedite licensure mobility.
  • Argosy University, Dallas alumni Michael Morris, PsyD (2007) and Jamie McNichol, PsyD (2008) have been elected as President and President-elect respectively of the Dallas Psychological Association. DPA is a 50 year-old organization that promotes ethical standards, stimulates discussions on current issues, fosters constructive relationships with allied professionals, and offers continuing education training.
  • Argosy Univeristy, Dallas alumni Jesse Lambert, PsyD (2008) sucessfully completed his terms as President (2010-2011) of the Baton Rouge Area Society of Psychologists, in the state capital of Louisiana.
  • Tim Branaman, PhD, FICPP, ABPP, core faculty at Argosy University, Dallas, has been appointed by the Govenor of Texas to the State Board of Examniers of Psychologists as a Presiding Officer, through 2013. He has been the past President of the Dallas Psychological Association (2005-2008) and a Board of Trustee member of the Texas Psychological Association. He has also served as an Oral Examiner for the American Board of Professional Psychology (Forensic).
