Biography
Lawrie A. Ignacio, PsyD, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in English Literature from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She received her Master's Degree (M.A.) in Philosophy from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. In 2004, she earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Hawai`i.
Dr. Ignacio is currently the Associate Chair of the Clinical Psychology Program at Hawai'i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Hawai`i. In her role as Associate Professor, she teaches courses that focus on assessment, psychodynamic theory and therapy, and humanistic/existential theory and therapy.
Dr. Ignacio was the 2009 recipient of the Hawai`i Psychological Association's Instructor of the Year Award, as well as Argosy University, Hawai`i's 2008 recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award. Her professional interests and activities include adult psychotherapy, clinical assessment, and the teaching of psychology.
