Biography

Jennifer Davidtz completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she conducted qualitative research on psychotherapy, with a particular emphasis on the process of treatment selection and countertransference. She completed her internship in the Adult Psychiatry Track at The Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Prior to coming to Argosy, she was employed as a Research Psychologist at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, where she worked on a study comparing CBT and supportive psychotherapy for psychosis. Dr. Davidtz’s interests include the treatment of personality disorders, eating disorders, severe mental illness, and complex trauma, as well as psychotherapy process and related phenomena, particularly countertransference.
