Biography
Dr. Marilyn Cabay received her PhD in School Psychology at Arizona State University. She is an Associate Professor at the American School of Professional Psychology (ASPP) at Argosy University, Phoenix. At ASPP at Argosy University, Phoenix, she teaches graduate courses, conducts student advising, and chairs clinical research projects. Dr. Cabay's research interests have focused primarily on qualitative methods. Most recently she has studied the experiences of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics PhD programs as a member of a large research team at a nearby university. Other research interests include factors influencing clinical decision making, community mental health, geriatric psychology, and trauma and child maltreatment. Dr. Cabay has experience directing a nonprofit organization providing educational and therapeutic intervention to children with autism, developmental delays, learning difficulties, and emotional disorders; leading groups for families with children with emotional and learning difficulties, and providing psychological services to elementary and middle school students.
