Argosy University offers the Instructional Leadership program as a Master’s degree, Education Specialist degree, or Doctoral degree. In the Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership program, students gain practical and academic skills in analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, team-building, and computer technology. The program is designed for students who wish to develop or enhance classroom skills and pursue careers as curriculum supervisors or become educational leaders with instruction as their main focus. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is necessary for admission into this program.
The Education Specialist program in Instructional Leadership focuses on core skills including comprehensive planning and implementation, curriculum theory and design, and comprehensive planning and implementation. There is a specialized track leading to Illinois Type 75 Certification available in this program of study.
The Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership program is for students who want to master teaching methodologies, become curriculum supervisors, or become educational leaders with curriculum and instruction as their main focus. Students are required to choose a concentration, which may include education technology, higher education, and K-12 education.
