Argosy University, Denver Receives CACREP Accreditation

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), an independent agency for accrediting counseling programs recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, has granted conditional accreditation to Argosy University, Denver’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education & Supervision program through 2014.

As a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), CACREP grants accredited status to graduate-level programs in the professional counseling field. The CACREP scope of accreditation includes: addiction counseling; career counseling; clinical mental health counseling; marriage, couple and family counseling; school counseling, student affairs and college counseling; and counselor education and supervision.
