Vocational Rehabilitation–Chapter 31
Available to veterans who have been declared disabled by the Department of Veterans Affairs because of service-related injury, you can get more information on Vocational Rehabilitation by contacting your case manager.
Post-9/11 GI Bill–Chapter 33
Those who served a minimum of 90 combined days on active duty after September 10th, 2001 and received an honorable discharge are eligible. This benefit covers active duty served as a member of the Armed Forces or as a result of a call or order to active duty from a reserve component (National Guard and Reserve) under certain sections of title 10. The amount of support that an individual may qualify for depends on where they live and what type of degree they are pursuing. For more information on the Post-9/11 GI Bill, select benefits. Veterans Educational Assistance Program (VEAP)–Chapter 32
This program is available to those who entered the military after January 1st, 1977, contributed to the program, and did not contract with the Armed Forces under a delayed entry program. Benefits are dependent upon total contributions made and are calculated individually. No allowance is made for payment for dependents. Active duty service members may receive full VA educational entitlement under VEAP. Under specified conditions, participants of VEAP may be eligible to convert their entitlement to the Montgomery GI Bill. For Veterans Spouses and Children
The scholarship provides graduate students a scholarship reducing tuition by 20% off the per credit tuition rate to Military Veterans immediate family member(s) seeking higher education to include, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate degrees. This benefit expires when the sponsor's child reaches the age 25.
