Argosy University, Salt Lake City Announces Certified Public Manager Program

(DRAPER, Ut. – October 15, 2011)   Argosy University, Salt Lake City has entered into a unique partnership with the State of Utah’s Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) to provide greater opportunity and flexibility for public managers to earn their Certified Public Manager® (CPM) designation.  Argosy University will be the only entity outside of the DHRM to offer the CPM program in Utah.

As part of this partnership, Argosy University has incorporated the CPM curriculum into online, face-to-face, or blended online and face to face formats. Specifically, Argosy University offers CPM Courses 1 and 2 in a completely online format and CPM 3 in a blended online and face to face format, with the face-to-face portions of the classes held in the evenings or weekends. This flexibility of delivery makes the CPM courses more easily accessible regardless of where you live in Utah.

“Those interested in obtaining their CPM designation may do so via a schedule that is flexible and fits their busy lives,” says Campus President David Tietjen. “Each course is just 7.5 weeks long and the entire program can be completed in 24 weeks.” The 40 hours of required electives for the CPM designation are included as part of the three courses.

“We are pleased to offer an added benefit of being able to teach this program at area businesses and organizations with a minimum of 12 students,” says Tietjen. “Interested agencies can further shape the nature of course projects and assignments to suit their business needs.”
