SALT LAKE CITY, November 30, 2010 – Argosy University (www.argosy.edu/locations/salt-lake-city), announced today the appointment of David Tietjen as President of the Argosy University Salt Lake City campus. Tietjen will help bring awareness of Argosy University, Salt Lake City’s blended-degree program, which features in-class work and online education.
Tietjen is a graduate of Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science, Finance (BS) and with honors with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
“David is an accomplished business executive who has successfully built and managed companies on a local, national and global scale,” said Craig D. Swenson, Chancellor of Argosy University. “His business acumen, contacts and passion for education will be critical to expanding Argosy’s presence in Utah and in providing the quality education our students expect and demand of us.”
Prior to joining Argosy University, Salt Lake City, Tietjen was Vice President of Sales and General Manager, Utah at ViaWest, a provider of data center and infrastructure services where he was responsible for managing all sales efforts. His efforts led to record-breaking revenues in spite of the weak economy. Previous experience also includes positions with Merit Medical – Sensor Division, MarketStar, TRW, Iomega and the Ford Motor Company.
