(Seattle, Wash. – July 2, 2013) Argosy University, Seattle is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Chapman, Ph.D. as Chair of the College of Business at the campus.
Chapman brings a wealth of industry and higher education experience to his new role. He most recently served as Associate Regional Dean for Strayer University. He holds additional higher education experience as Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Washington, where he designed, implemented, and taught the manufacturing curriculum for the undergrad and graduate industrial engineering degree programs.
Chapman’s past business experience includes working as Senior Business Process Engineer/Management Consultant for BEST Consulting, with clients including the Boeing Company, AT&T Wireless and Seattle City Light and as Operations Project Manager for the Fluke Corporation. He is a retired Captain of the United States Air Force.
Chapman holds a PhD in Production and Operations Management from the University of Texas, a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Western Washington University. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science; a past member of the IEEE Computer Society, SME Computer Conference Board and the Association for Computing Machinery; and past president, a board member and board chair of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
