April 4 Workshop offers Insight on Student Aid and Scholarships

PHOENIX, AZ Mar. 12, 2013--   Big Brothers Big Sisters of Phoenix and Argosy University, Phoenix are partnering to educate Arizona families about the financial aid process for higher education. On Tuesday, April 4, 2013, a no-cost, hands-on workshop* will take place from 6 – 7:30 pm at Argosy University, Phoenix to provide prospective college students and their families with the information they need about how to finance a college education.

The workshop, taking place at the university’s campus, located at 2233 West Dunlap Avenue, Phoenix 85021, is designed to assist families and students in understanding financial aid eligibility and how to apply for federal/state aid and scholarships (financial aid is available to those who qualify). During the event, financial aid professionals will discuss ways to finance college education, no matter what institution the individual chooses to attend. The event will also offer information on how to apply for scholarships and grants, to include scholarship opportunities created by Argosy University for those affiliated with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization.
