Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Kids’ Turn

(ALAMEDA, Calif.  – Oct. 1, 2013)   Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area is pleased to host a charity golf tournament to benefit San Francisco area non-profit Kids’ Turn. The event will take place on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Metropolitan Golf Links in Oakland, Calif. The tournament is open to the community and all proceeds will benefit Kids’ Turn.

Kids’ Turn, the only organization of its kind, is a San Francisco-based non-profit organization providing a comprehensive and proven program for children and family members who are affected by familial separation. The organization helps children cope with parental separation, helps family members to support their children, and supports the diversity of participants in its programs.

“Kids’ Turn is dedicated to demystifying and de-stigmatizing the separation process,” says Dr. Gladys Ato, Kids’ Turn Board Member and Program Dean of the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area. “Half of all U.S. marriages end in divorce or separation. Kids’ Turn promotes a healthy perspective and helps families understand that they are not alone.”

“We’re honored and delighted to support Kids’ Turn through our first-ever charity golf tournament,” says Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area campus president, Dr. Lance Garrison. “We look forward to a fun day that ultimately has a positive impact on the lives of children impacted by separation.”

The tournament fee is $125 per player or $500 per foursome and includes a round of golf with a cart, range balls, snacks and a banquet dinner. Event sponsorships are still available.
