Argosy University To Offer Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Program

(CHICAGO – June 10, 2009)  Argosy University announced the official roll-out of its new Bachelor of Science degree in the Criminal Justice program.   The program will be offered at 16 campus locations starting fall 2009.

The Criminal Justice program assists criminal justice practitioners, or those interested in the field, in developing the enhanced critical thinking, communication, research and professional skills needed in this profession.  It is designed to contribute to students’ career development, promotional opportunities, and consideration for specialized assignments.

The Criminal Justice program will be offered through the College of Undergraduate Studies at certain Argosy campus locations and is designed to prepare students to pursue entry-level opportunities in the criminal justice field.

Dr. Thomas E. Leman is the national chairman of the program.  He has 27 years of state and municipal law enforcement experience in Arizona, California, and Idaho in the fields of patrol, traffic, criminal investigations and administration.  He has served as an expert witness and training officer, highlighted by 14 years as the Deputy Police Chief, in Rexburg, Idaho.

“We are pleased to offer this new program to our students.  This is another example of our commitment to ensure that we offer a fuller portfolio of programs to our students,” Dr. Leman said.
