Associate of Science in Business Administration

The Associate of Science (AS) in Business Administration degree can lay the groundwork of business practices and professional skills. Courses focused on finance, business technology, and marketing are combined with general education courses designed to further expand students’ knowledge of mathematics, social sciences, natural sciences, and the humanities.

The Business Administration associate’s degree program gives students the opportunity to test the waters of the business field before choosing their next educational or career path. They will also be on a quicker and clearer path to degree completion. After completing this program, students can choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree program or join the workforce in positions for which there is a need for foundational business skills.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

In the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration degree program, students follow a practical path to degree completion, consisting of a group of core business and elective courses. Students may come into the program with college credit from another business administration school, or may have no college experience.

The primary goal of the bachelor’s program is to help students acquire the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to qualify for entry-level management or leadership positions.

Master of Business Administration

Students who choose to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree acquire skills needed to be a leader who can identify challenges and opportunities, draw on technology and information, use advanced analytical and planning approaches, and execute plans for positive change.

Students also develop skills for business problem analysis, team and group leadership, and the execution of effective solutions in various business situations. The MBA program is a practice-oriented program of study scheduled to permit busy professionals to balance the demands of career, family, and school.

Doctor of Business Administration

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program builds on the skills learned in master’s-level programs, helping students to enhance their current careers. The DBA program is designed to help students develop competencies in understanding and performing applied research which can then be used to foster innovation and lead organizational change.

Concentrations include accounting, information systems, international business, management, marketing, and customized professional concentration.
