Students are introduced to basic counseling skills that integrate individual and group theoretical foundations of professional counseling into appropriate client interaction and intervention skills at this Counseling Psychology school. The University also offers a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology/Marriage & Family Therapy degree program for students who wish to gain licensure as a marriage and family therapist in the state of California. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is necessary for admission into this Counseling Psychology school.
The Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology degree program was created for students with a background in mental health, social work, school counseling, pastoral counseling, and psychiatric nursing.
