Argosy University offers the Educational Leadership program as a Master of Arts in Education degree, Education Specialist degree, or Doctor of Education degree.
In the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership program, students gain practical and academic skills in analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, team-building, and computer technology. This Educational Leadership degree program is designed for students who seek roles as leaders in the field of education. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is necessary for admission into this Educational Leadership degree program.
The Education Specialist program in Educational Leadership provides educators with knowledge and a range of skills necessary to function effectively in their profession.
The Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program is for students preparing for or advancing in their careers functioning as education leaders as school district, regional, state, or national administrators. The Educational Leadership doctorate program requires that students choose a concentration in either higher education administration or K-12 education.

The MAED in Educational Administration and the EdS and EdD in Initial Educational Administration lead to Florida Principal certification upon completion of all state and program requirements, including passage of all required Florida state licensure exams. All other programs offered through Argosy University, Sarasota College of Education DO NOT lead to teacher, administrator, school counseling, or school psychology certification, licensure, or endorsement in any State in the
United States.

Due to recent changes in rules by the GA Professional Standards Commission (PSC), beginning with the SuII 2011 term, students entering these programs must complete their program by the dates listed below for possible certification upgrade.

The MAED in Educational Administration, the Ed.S. in Initial Educational Administration, and the Ed.D. in Initial Educational Administration lead to the State of Illinois Type 75 General Administrative Certificate (principal) upon completion of all state and program requirements. The Ed.S. in Advanced Educational Administration and the Ed.D. in Advanced Educational Administration lead to the Illinois Type 75 Superintendent’s Endorsement upon completion of all state and program requirements. All other programs offered through the College of Education DO NOT lead to teacher or administrator certification, licensure, or endorsement in any State in the United States. The programs offered through Argosy University – Online Programs DO NOT lead to teacher or administrator certification, licensure, or endorsement in Illinois regardless of the State in which the student resides.
