School Psychology – Non – Certification program

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in School Psychology degree program is designed to respond to the National Association of School Psychology (NASP) recommendation to provide opportunities for doctoral study to practicing school psychologists. Enrollment in this 32-credit-hour program is limited to school psychologists who have a minimum five years of experience.

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in School Psychology degree program is designed to respond to the National Association of School Psychology (NASP) recommendation to provide opportunities for doctoral study to practicing school psychologists. Enrollment in the 38-credit-hour program is limited to newly certified school psychologists seeking additional coursework and experience as they begin their practice.

PROGRAM DISCLOSURE

This program has not been not been approved for school counselor or school psychologist certification, licensure, or endorsement in any state in the United States.

The completion of the program will permit students to request a transcript review by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) for certification as school counselors or school psychologists in the State of Florida, pending the successful completion of other requirements. Students are also eligible to apply to become Nationally Certified School Psychologists in a process designed for graduates of non-National Association for School Psychologists (NASP) approved programs. However, there is no guarantee that Florida, or national certification will be granted or that Florida certification will lead to certification in other states. Students are individually and solely responsible for knowing the certification requirements in their state of residence.

The MAED in Educational Administration and the EdS and EdD in Initial Educational Administration lead to Florida Principal certification upon completion of all state and program requirements, including passage of all required Florida state licensure exams.  All other programs offered through Argosy University, Sarasota College of Education DO NOT lead to teacher, administrator, school counseling, or school psychology  certification, licensure, or endorsement in any State in the
United States.

The MAED in Educational Administration, the Ed.S. in Initial Educational Administration, the Ed.D. in Initial Educational Administration, the Ed.S. in Advanced Educational Administration, and the Ed.D. in advanced Educational Administration are approved by the Arizona Department of Education to lead to school administration licensure/certification upon completion of all program and state requirements.  The MA in School Psychology and the PsyD in School Psychology are approved by the Arizona Department of Education to lead to school psychology licensure/certification upon completion of all program and state requirements. The programs offered through Argosy University Online Programs, with the exclusion of the MAED in Educational Administration, DO NOT lead to teacher or administrator certification, licensure, or endorsement in any State in the United States regardless of the State in which the student resides.
