Letter From The Dean
Dear Prospective Student,
I’m delighted that you’ve shown interest in the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University | Chicago (ISPP, Chicago). Our Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program is designed to train practitioner-scholars to be proficient in the empirical and theoretical underpinnings of integrated behavioral health interventions while remaining perceptive to cultural, contextual, and socioeconomic environments of individuals and communities.
The rigorous curriculum of the program not only prepares students for licensure, but also seeks to engage their intellectual and relational capacities. We invite students to experience a transformative relationship with both themselves and the world.
You’ll be joining a diverse community of students who are active, engaged, and socially conscious. Our outstanding professors and supervisors represent a comprehensive range of talent and perspectives, and they are committed to helping you fulfill your academic, personal, and professional goals. Training opportunities abound in Chicago, from our own campus Psychological Services Center to numerous hospitals, correctional facilities, mental health centers, schools and treatment centers with longstanding collaborative relationships with the program.
ISPP, Chicago’s legacy of teaching and training students to become clinical psychologists spans more than four decades. Since 1985, the PsyD program has been accredited by the American Psychological Association, making it the longest continually accredited Doctor of Psychology program in the Midwestern U.S.
