Argosy University and Best Buy Announce Partnership to Advance Education and Training for Best Buy Employees

ORANGE, CALIF. (May 15, 2018) — Argosy University has partnered with Best Buy to offer its employees more ways to advance their education.

All full- and part-time Best Buy employees, regardless of how many hours they work and including seasonal employees, can receive a 20 percent savings on the tuition rate when they attend one of the programs offered at Argosy University. The partnership tuition rate will apply to eligible students who are employees of Best Buy and who apply to, are accepted to, and attend one of the undergraduate or graduate degree programs at Argosy University after January 1, 2018. Employees who are already enrolled at Argosy University are also eligible on classes moving forward. Additionally, Best Buy offers tuition assistance for employees who pursue higher education.

Argosy University (www.argosy.edu), with 26 campus locations in 13 states and online, is a private, nonprofit academic institution dedicated to providing undergraduate and graduate degree programs to students through its eight colleges: College of Clinical Psychology, College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences, Graduate School of Business and Management, College of Education, College of Health Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Creative Arts and Design and Western State College of Law at Argosy University.

Argosy University offers doctoral and master’s degree programs in the areas of psychology, behavioral sciences, business, computer animation, counseling, and education.

Argosy University, Hawaii Named One of the Best Places to Work in Hawaii

Argosy University, Hawaii was recently named one of Hawaii Business Magazine’s “2018 Best Places to Work in Hawaii.” Awardees were selected based on the results of an employee survey that went out to hundreds of workers across the state. In the award letter, Hawaii Business Magazine stated, “your company understands that helping employees develop their full potential helps your organization reach its full potential.”

 

The awards are now in their 14th year. The school will be listed in the magazine’s April 2018 issue and honored at an upcoming awards ceremony at Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Hawaii Professor, Student Receive Awards at HPA Convention

Hawai‘i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University recently participated in the Hawai‘i Psychological Association (HPA) convention at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Dr. Sean W. Scanlan, Ph.D., dean and associate professor at Hawai‘i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University received the Professor of the Year award at the event. He was recognized for his outstanding achievement in Clinical Psychology education.

Catherine Gallahue, a current student working toward a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the school, was presented with the Outstanding Student of Psychology award. She was recognized for her significant achievement as a graduate student in the field of Psychology.

The mission of the Hawai‘i Psychological Association is to enhance the quality of life for the people of Hawai‘i by encouraging, integrating, applying, and communicating the contributions of Psychology in all its branches. The organization is the leading resource for psychological health, research, and policy in Hawai‘i.
