Biography

Linda Fama, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor and Clinical Psychology faculty member at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Northern Virginia. Dr. Fama completed her predoctoral clinical internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Northern Virginia where she obtained experience in conducting individual and group outpatient psychotherapy as well as in a wide variety of assessment techniques. Her primary clinical interests are in working with clients with posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Dr. Fama completed a postdoctoral psychology residency at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Northern Virginia where she received specialized training in individual and group psychotherapy with diverse inpatient clinical populations (including forensic inpatients) as well as specialized training in psychological and cognitive assessments. Upon completion of her postdoctoral training, Dr. Fama obtained licensure in that state of Virginia and joined the faculty initially as an adjunct professor but has since progressed in rank to Associate Professor in the clinical psychology department. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Fama maintains a private practice.
