Argosy Assessment And Intervention Clinic At Argosy University

The Argosy Assessment and Intervention Clinic (AAIC) is dedicated to training the next generation of mental health professionals in the areas of psychological assessment and clinical service, with practices informed by psychological science, theory, and research. We are committed to providing psychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults, and to expanding the reach of psychological services through practice and research.

Who We Are

We are affiliated with the PsyD in Clinical Psychology Program at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area. Our staff is composed of advanced graduate student clinicians in the PsyD program, postdoctoral fellows, and licensed clinical supervisors.

Testing Process

  • 2 hrs face-to-face intake interview to determine if AAIC can meet your needs
  • 1 hr face-to-face collaborative review of results generally within 3 weeks of the final testing session
  • Up to 12 hrs of face-to-face testing, split into 3-4 hr sessions
  • 1-2 hrs feedback session to discuss final written report
  • 1 hr face-to-face follow-up 3 weeks after feedback session

Individual, Couple, or Family Support and Treatment Process:

  • A brief assessment to plan together on how to best meet your needs
  • Individual/Couple/Family meetings with a psychology student on a weekly basis
  • A choice of long-term (on-going) or short-term (6-15 week) treatment/supportive model

Our staff is always available to answer any questions about AAIC and the services we offer. AAIC is wheelchair accessible. If you have an accommodation request, please let us know.

Referral Process:

We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from parents, educators, therapists/counselors, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other care providers. If riding BART, exit at the Lake Merritt station (near Laney College) on Madison Street between 8th and 9th Streets and board the free Estuary Crossing Shuttle. Off-board at Atlantic Avenue by Challenger Drive in Marina Village near sculpture of egg hatching and walk to 1005 Atlantic Avenue.

Alternately, board the free shuttle at Harrison Street at 8th Street and off-board at Atlantic Ave. as described above.

You can also take the 20 or 51A buses from other areas of the East Bay and off-board at Webster/Atlantic Avenue (the Alameda City College stop).
