Dr. DeSilva grew up in Orange County, CA and received her Master’s and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles County. Dr. DeSilva trained at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA where she solidified her passion and interest in practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Dr. DeSilva completed her predoctoral internship in Northern Minnesota at Range Mental Health Center, a community mental health center that emphasized person-centered treatment to target a wide range of mental health issues. Dr. DeSilva has gained significant experience in working with diverse adolescents and adults and enjoys incorporating cultural diversity into clinical practice. Her research interests include interracial couples, marital satisfaction, cultural diversity, minorities, and related coping strategies. Dr. DeSilva is excited to continue pursuing her interest in psychological assessment while completing her postdoctoral fellowship at the Argosy Assessment and Intervention Clinic.
