Argosy University and Best Buy Announce Partnership to Advance Education and Training for Best Buy Employees

ORANGE, CALIF. (May 15, 2018) — Argosy University has partnered with Best Buy to offer its employees more ways to advance their education.

All full- and part-time Best Buy employees, regardless of how many hours they work and including seasonal employees, can receive a 20 percent savings on the tuition rate when they attend one of the programs offered at Argosy University. The partnership tuition rate will apply to eligible students who are employees of Best Buy and who apply to, are accepted to, and attend one of the undergraduate or graduate degree programs at Argosy University after January 1, 2018. Employees who are already enrolled at Argosy University are also eligible on classes moving forward. Additionally, Best Buy offers tuition assistance for employees who pursue higher education.

Argosy University (www.argosy.edu), with 26 campus locations in 13 states and online, is a private, nonprofit academic institution dedicated to providing undergraduate and graduate degree programs to students through its eight colleges: College of Clinical Psychology, College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences, Graduate School of Business and Management, College of Education, College of Health Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Creative Arts and Design and Western State College of Law at Argosy University.

Twin Cities’ Dr. Margit Berman is Keynote Speaker at Psychology Conference


Dr. Margit Berman, faculty, Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, served as the Monday I was the Mark W. Olson Memorial Keynote speaker at the Twin Ports Undergraduate Psychology Conference. The conference has participants from University of Minnesota Duluth, College of St. Scholastica and University of Wisconsin at Superior.


The one-day event featured student paper presentations and a poster session.

Twin Cities’ Dr. Margit Berman to Have Two Books Published

 Dr. Margit Berman, faculty, Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, will soon have two books published. A Workbook of Acceptance-Based Approaches for Weight Concerns: The Accept Yourself Framework is a three-part workbook that provides a concise and forgiving research-based guide to clients’ difficulties with sustained weight loss. 

 

The second book, A Clinician's Guide to Acceptance-Based Approaches for Weight Concerns: The Accept Yourself Framework, is an overview of Dr. Berman’s Accept Yourself! Program.

 

Both books are available for preorder.

 

To celebrate this accomplishment, Dr. Berman’s coworkers brought her a cake—decorated with a picture of her new book.
