College of Education
Enroll in an Argosy University College of Education program to learn educational best practices from scholar-practitioners in the field of education. We offer many programs for P-12 educators seeking to make a greater contribution to their students academic success by addressing their unique needs. You will emerge from a program with the knowledge and skills necessary to support your students and the schools in which you teach. Our Education degree programs provide educators with the knowledge and range of skills necessary to function effectively in administrative positions at schools and higher and postsecondary institutions. Appropriate preparation for that role is essential – and it's one that we take very seriously at Argosy University. The College of Education at Argosy University is conditionally accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) until April 2017. The accreditation covers advanced educator preparation programs across all campuses of Argosy University and its online programs. However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes. NCATE will conduct a site visit December 4-6, 2016 and, in the spring of 2017 make its determination about the accreditation of the program. At that time, NCATE may decide to either grant full accreditation to the College of Education at Argosy University or return it to candidacy status.
