The Associate of Arts in Psychology program promotes an understanding of human behavior and mental functioning, while preparing students for entry-level positions in human services or continued study.

Why an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology?

The AA in Psychology program is an excellent choice for students who wish to study human behavior while receiving a broad liberal arts education, which will equip them for the challenges of a modern, complex world. Students are prepared for their next phase: continuing toward their bachelor’s degree, or securing entry-level employment as a para-professional in a wide variety of human service settings. In the Associate’s degree program, students can complete most of their credits in general education while earning credits in psychology that are practical and professionally-oriented. They can emerge with excellent academic and interpersonal skills, and with a solid foundation in psychological theory and practice.

Why a Psychology Degree at Argosy University?

The AA in Psychology program allows students to explore the field of psychology while participating in a vibrant community of learners and teachers. Students may participate in the Virtual Psychology Club, and attend our Annual Virtual Psychology Conference. These opportunities allow both online- and campus-based students to learn about research, clinical practice and new developments in the field of psychology. All classes are taught by faculty members who have experience as professionals in the field* and are equipped to provide them with guidance and mentoring in psychology. If students choose to continue their studies at Argosy University, they can request an evaluation of their earned credit to be applied towards their bachelor’s degree**. Continuing their education could be a seamless next step.
