About the Master of Arts (MA) Degree in Forensic Psychology at Argosy University, Dallas
Our 36-credit-hour Master of Arts (MA) degree in Forensic Psychology can provide students with a comprehensive education that incorporates psychological theory and practice, legal theory and application, and research and evaluation. Students can develop strong leadership, ethics, and interpersonal effectiveness skills, and learn to effectively work with adult and juvenile offenders, victim populations, psychiatric populations, and other at-risk groups.

Our accomplished faculty is engaged, committed to excellence, and available to mentor students who desire additional support. Students are given the opportunity to attend free workshops hosted by Argosy University at no additional cost. The program also offers graduates an optional 250-hour field placement in various forensic settings.

What knowledge and skills can I gain from the Master of Arts (MA) degree program in Forensic Psychology?
Students have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills necessary for careers in the field of forensic psychology, including case management skills for serving special populations, screening tools for mental status assessments and crisis intervention, and development of assessment and treatment plans for a variety of forensic populations. They also can develop interviewing and assessment screening skills for understanding the most common psychiatric conditions related to forensic situations.
