This goal is achieved through a curriculum designed to integrate basic therapy, and practicum/field experience into appropriate client interaction and intervention skills for utilization in a wide variety of settings with diverse clients.
Marriage and family therapy is recognized by the Public Health Service Act as one of the five core mental health professions, and the National Institute of Mental Health accepts marriage and family therapists as qualified mental health professionals.
Over the past four years, there were 72 graduates of Argosy University, Denver’s Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy degree program. Of the admitted students, there is an average 52.5% of students who graduate from the program in the five year time period while 63% of graduates actively seeking jobs are employed within 6 months of graduating. Approximately 3% of graduates acquired the LMFT license, 38.9% are still working on completing the experiential prerequisites, and 55.6% did not respond to our request for information.
