The Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) degree in Educational Administration program is designed to prepare graduates to become effective school principals and administrators. The program is designed for practicing educators who have already completed a bachelor’s degree program from a regionally accredited institution and are seeking administrative credentialing. It is a state-certified Educational Leadership degree and is required to become a principal within the state of Florida. Partnership tuition rates are available to eligible employees of school districts within the State of Florida. Based on state requirements, students may be required to complete additional experiences or coursework.

About the Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) Degree in Educational Administration at Argosy University, Tampa
Our Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) degree in Educational Administration is a 36-credit hour program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to become effective leaders as school principals or administrators within the State of Florida. Graduates are qualified to take the Florida Educational Leadership Exam (FELE), which is a requirement for earning the Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) in Educational Administration. We also offer a program specific to the Hillsborough School district called the CREL (Culturally Responsible Education Leadership) Program.

Our flexible class schedule is ideal for working professionals who want to pursue a postgraduate degree while balancing the demands of career, family, and school. Many classes may be completed online.

The MAEd in Educational Administration degree program leads to Florida Level 1 Principal Certification upon completion of all state and program requirements, including passage of the Florida Educational Leadership Exam (FELE). This program is approved by the Florida Department of Education and only meets the certification requirements for the State of Florida. Students, who wish to work in a State other than Florida, are responsible for investigating the other states’ criteria regarding reciprocity of the Florida Level 1 Principal Certification.
