The Military & Government Counseling Association (MGCA) of the American Counseling Association (ACA) recently held its annual meeting that featured Argosy University, Atlanta faculty member Dr. Melinda Paige as one of five educational presenters. Dr. Dannette Patterson and Dr. Natasha Barnes, both graduates of Argosy University, Atlanta with a Master of Arts in Counselor Education & Supervision, also were involved as MGCA board members.
Dr. Tom Watson is president of the MGCA. HE hosted this year’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) at the Atlanta Hilton Garden Inn.
The PDI included five presentations ranging in topics from best practices when working with military families to competency in trauma work with Veterans and military Service Members.
