Argosy University, Atlanta Instructor Featured on Georgia Public Broadcasting's ''On Second Thought''

Dr. Melinda Paige Dr. Melinda Paige, assistant professor in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University, Atlanta, was recently a guest expert on Georgia Public Broadcasting’s “On Second Thought.”

The show featured an in-depth interview with Dr. Page, filmmaker Alix Blair, and Jon Jackson—a Georgia veteran who started a farm and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Paige discussed how farming can help veterans to cope with PTSD.

Dr. Paige is a licensed professional counselor, certified professional counselor supervisor, and national certified counselor, serving as a trauma counselor for the last eighteen years. Dr. Paige's research interests include trauma therapist development and trauma mental health competency. Dr. Paige was the recipient of the 2014 Chi Epsilon Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) Outstanding Practitioner Award. She has published and presented on self-injury, trauma, and vicarious traumatization. Dr. Paige is also a subject matter expert in trauma/PTSD treatment and has published books on suicide.
