Argosy University, Dallas recently teamed up with United Way and Texas instruments, Incorporated for “STEM in the Schoolyard” at Comstock Middle School in Dallas, Texas. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math.
Five employees from Argosy University, Dallas volunteered alongside Celanese Corporation to assist children at one of the event booths. The day allowed the students and volunteers to become immersed in STEM activities that inspired their imaginations and engaged their minds. These activities, which are aligned with the school’s existing curriculum and state standards, were developed by area United Way service providers and Texas Instruments. United Way has invested in programming that has put more than 174,000 local students on the path to success in STEM education since 2011.
