During the month of September, Argosy University faculty members attended school assemblies to provide education, awareness and resources to students and promoted awareness through lunchtime activities such as video diaries, hopes and beliefs jar, information booth, and a creative arts contest. The students were invited to create a video regarding their thoughts and concerns about suicide.
In addition, Argosy University faculty members provided students with backpacks containing mental health/suicide prevention material donated by the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health, along with the number for the Suicide Hotline. One in four of the backpacks had a green ribbon, representing the one in four individuals who experience mental illness every year.
