(Phoenix, November 2015) Each year, the Arizona Education Foundation (AEF) names the Arizona Teacher of the Year, and Argosy University, Phoenix provides a number of scholarships as an AEF Education Champion Platinum Donor. The scholarships include the following:
- Teacher of the Year Award Winner
- Full Scholarship from Argosy University, Phoenix for advanced degree in education
- Full Scholarship from Argosy University, Phoenix for advanced degree in education
- AEF Ambassadors for Excellence (4)
- Scholarship covering 50% of the tuition cost at Argosy University, Phoenix for advanced degree in education
- Scholarship covering 50% of the tuition cost at Argosy University, Phoenix for advanced degree in education
- AEF Teacher of the year Semi-Finalists (5)
- Scholarship covering 25% of the tuition cost at Argosy University, Phoenix for advanced degree in education
This year, the award luncheon was held on Thursday, November 19 at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.
The AEF Arizona Teacher of the Year program spotlights the contributions of outstanding public school teachers throughout Arizona.
The Teacher of the Year program annually recognizes 10 exceptionally skilled and dedicated pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public school teachers. Nominees are those individuals who have gained the respect and admiration of students, parents, and co-workers. They play an active and useful role in their communities as well as their schools, often distinguishing themselves as leaders. They have a superior ability to help all students achieve.
