Recently, Argosy University, San Diego hosted a Veteran Commencement Ceremony aboard the USS Midway. The event was featured on ABC 10News San Diego. Lorren Cahill, a military veteran graduating with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, was featured in the segment.
Cahill grew up in Chicago, and after the 9/11 terror attacks decided to join the United States Navy. She was stationed on the USS Bonhomme Richard, and after her third child was born she decided to pursue a career in psychology as a way of helping others.
Cahill is a working mother and a recent cancer survivor. She is a Navy contractor and therapist at Crisis House. Her three children traveled from Chicago for the graduation event, and were proud to watch her walk across the stage.
