Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area Hosts REBOOT Workshop

(San Francisco, September 2015) Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area partnered with Wells Fargo to host a three week REBOOT workshop from September 7-25, 2015 with support from the National Veterans Transition Services Inc.

The National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. (aka REBOOT) is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting veterans in adjusting to civilian life and secure meaningful employment by combining best-practice performance techniques. The organization was established by a group of retired high ranking Naval and Marine Corps officers and workforce development professionals who seek to fill a tremendous gap in the continuum of veteran services.

The workshop helps to provide support to women veterans as they begin their civilian lives and careers. The program addresses both personal and social aspects of transition from the military. REBOOT uses research-based, outcome-driven methods, drawn from best practices in career planning and cognitive-behavioral techniques, to help service members and veterans set and achieve career goals. Training is supplemented with extended follow up that aggregates opportunities, promotes social networking, and facilitates peer support. Military and veteran participants will be assigned a mentor upon request, if available.

The REBOOT Workshop is the nation’s only transition program of its kind that provides women vets with the tools they need to succeed. This event helps to build a positive relationship with the military while creating goodwill within the community.
