(SARASOTA, Fl. – May 14, 2012) Argosy University, Sarasota Doctor of Education in Pastoral Community Counseling student Yvette Rowland has just published a book, Under the Shadow of the Almighty: A Woman's Shelter in Times of Storm. The publication will be launched at the National Black Book Festival in Houston in June.
As a woman of God, trying to live right and do what is right can be very challenging-especially in our intimate relationships. In Under the Shadow of the Almighty, author Yvette Freeman Rowland shares with readers her personal struggles during her bumpy Christian walk. “It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment a believer decides to do good, sin is there to trip her up,” says Rowland.
“Have you ever thought, I’m trying so hard, but I keep falling on my face! Is there no one who can help me? Isn’t that the real question? My experiences, and the research I’ve included to make the truths in my story more applicable for readers, prove that women of God are not alone. When the storms of life come, when your Christian walk gets bumpy, take shelter Under the Shadow of the Almighty.”
