(Seattle, November 2015) In October, Argosy University, Seattle participated in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk created by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to bring awareness to the issue of suicide. The campus participated in the October 25 walk at the Fisher pavilion at Seattle center, hosted by the Washington chapter of AFSP.
Every fall, family members, friends, and colleagues walk 3–5 miles together in hundreds of communities across the nation to prevent suicide, raise awareness, and end the stigma that surrounds depression and other mental disorders. With each stride, the walkers save lives, honor loved ones lost to suicide and raise funds to support AFSP’s vital mission.
