TAMPA, Flo., November 1 – Argosy University, Tampa is honoring military veterans with its first annual Military Appreciation Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 9. The event will take place at the campus, located at 1403 North Howard Avenue in Tampa. It is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
The event will feature an address from Congresswoman Kathy Castor, a military color guard and a memorial dedication. The University’s Military Student group will host a panel discussion about balancing military service and education. Refreshments will be served.
“We are thrilled to honor the service and dedication of our military personnel in this unique event,” says Argosy University, Tampa campus president Pat Meredith. “Many of our students are outstanding in their educational pursuits, dedicated to their families and committed to their service in our military. This event is dedicated to them and those in the Tampa area who have defended and continue to defend our nation.”
