Argosy University, Twin Cities Students Help Children with Asthma

(Minnesota, August 2015)  For the past 12 years, Argosy University Marriage & Family Therapy Master of Arts degree students have volunteered their therapy support services to American Lung Associations Asthma Camp  located at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi. This year, the camp was held June 28-July 3, 2015.

Asthma Camp, aka Camp Superkids, is a supportive specialized camp serving children with asthma from ages 7-15.  Between 130-160 campers attend each year.

Argosy University Marriage & Family Therapy students provide supportive mental health therapy services to assist campers in managing their mental health, fostering healthy relationships while encouraging each child in self-care of their asthma.   The team is lead by Dr. Joe Reid LMFT Associate Professor of the Twin Cities Campus.

Programs, credential levels, technology, and scheduling options vary by school and are subject to change.
