Dr. Sharon Campbell, adjunct faculty, Argosy University, Atlanta is the president and founder of the nonprofit ALIST (Assist, Lead, Inspire, Serve, Thrive) International. The organization is now in its third year.
ALIST provides education scholarships to children living in Aenon Town, Jamaica—a location where students and their families are required to pay for supplies, tuition, uniforms and books to continue their education after primary school is completed.
ALIST is different than other scholarship organizations because it is focused on providing funds to help students complete high school. The nonprofit has given thousands of dollars to students in Aeon Town.
Dr. Dorothy Miller, program chair for Argosy University, Atlanta’s RN to BSN program, was recently appointed to serve as one of ALIST’s six board members.
