Recently, The Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University | Chicago held a panel discussion centering on ethical dilemmas for the forensic psychologist. The event, “Ethical Dilemmas for the Forensic Psychologist,” was sponsored by the school’s Forensics Forum and International Psychology Club (Division 52).
Topics discussed included solitary confinement, torture, racial injustice and human rights in the United States’ prison system. Faculty members Dr. Neal Rubin, Dr. Shanavia Dansby and Dr. Susan Zoline, along with students Danielle Calas and Bianca Vigil provided commentary on these important issues. Both students are working toward a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. Future implications for forensic students and psychologists were discussed, followed by an open forum for questions.
