Roosevelt Griffin III, who is 2015 earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, Chicago has been selected by the GRAMMY Foundation and the Recording Academy as one of 25 semifinalists for the 2017 Music Educator Award. The finalists will be announced in late December 2016.
Roosevelt is a music teacher at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School. The music ensemble of fifth graders that he instructs has been recognized nationally for excellence. He adds that he’s focused on working with his students to “be great together.” Roosevelt describes himself as being passionate about change and focused on making the world a better place for children.
