Faculty Member Publishes Book, Meets with Monaco Act Green

(CHICAGO, IL January 2016) - Dr. Margaret Smith, Director of Training for the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Chicago recently had the opportunity to visit the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, Monaco. She met with the staff of Monaco Act Green, the e-magazine promoting environmental awareness of the Principality. Dr. Smith was interviewed regarding the novel “The Vigil” which she published under the pen name of Oleander Main. The novel is about seven generations of polar bears told from their perspective. With it, she hopes to draw attention to the polar bears and their changing environment.

The meeting with Monaco Act Green came about because Dr. Smith wanted to give them a copy of her novel, in order to thank them for the efforts that they make regarding the environment.  In addition to their French and English publication regarding environmental concerns, the Principality of Monaco has worked diligently with businesses to develop innovative solutions to reduce impact.

Dr. Smith was very impressed with the Principality and staff of Monaco Act Green. They expressed their commitment that the smallest of sovereign states can make a difference in our world.  Further information regarding Monaco Act Green, the environmental agenda of the Principality and the novel may be found below.
