Argosy University, Hawaii recently held its fall commencement ceremony at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. The ceremony honored the commencement of 65 students, including 19 undergraduates, 25 master’s, and 21 doctoral graduates.
Jan-Marie Osorio, who graduated at the event with a Master of Science degree in Human Services from Argosy University, Online Programs served as student speaker.
Dr. Kimberley Cook was the commencement speaker. She is the executive director of U.S. VETS Barber’s Point. Cook is an alumnus of the Hawai`i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She also earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2006 and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology in 2008 from the school.
Cook has worked for many years in the non-profit sector—with autistic children, adults with severe mental illnesses, and in the field of chemical dependency, Cook joined U.S. VETS in 2009 as clinical director and transitioned in to the role of executive director in 2012. Dr. Cook was born and raised on the island of Oahu and is involved in a number of community groups, including the West Oahu Professional Network (WOPN).
