Nashville Campus Hosts Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Argosy University, Nashville hosted the June and November Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) offered by the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN).

ASIST is a two-day workshop for everyone age 16 or older—regardless of prior experience—who want to be able to provide suicide first aid. Shown by major studies to significantly reduce suicide, the ASIST model teaches effective intervention skills while helping to build suicide prevention networks in the community.

TSPN trained a total of 26 mental health professionals from various settings in the middle Tennessee area.

Programs, credential levels, technology, and scheduling options vary by school and are subject to change.
