Nashville’s Dr. Myatt Appointed to Board of the Tuition Guaranty Fund for the State of Tennessee

Dr. Kittie Myatt, department chair and associate professor in Counseling in the College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences at Argosy University, Nashville was recently appointed to the Board of the Tuition Guaranty Fund for the State of Tennessee. She is also a member of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission Committee on Post Secondary Educational Institutions. The work of the Board includes:
 
Dr. Myatt says that in 2007, she was appointed by the Executive Director of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to serve as one of five statewide "representatives of an institution" to serve on the 13-member Tennessee Higher Education Commission Committee on Post Secondary Educational Institutions. “I have been reappointed every two years since then. This committee is an advisory group to the Executive Director of THEC, to the full Tennessee Higher Education Commission, and to the Assistant Executive Director of Postsecondary School Authorization regarding matters with institutions subject to the Postsecondary Authorization Act of the State of Tennessee.”

Dr. Myatt has worked as a licensed professional mental health service provider since 1983 and had a full-time private counseling practice in Nashville for 20 years. She’s been a member of the Argosy University, Nashville faculty for 15 years.
