President of Practice, Provides Face-to-Face Therapy for Individuals and Groups

Dr. Jada Jackson is a licensed mental health counselor and president at Total Life Counseling - DFW, overseeing company management and business development while performing face-to-face therapy with individuals and groups. She’s a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, a licensed professor counselor in Texas and is also an author, talk show host, life coach and communicator.

Jackson said that earning her degree accelerated her career pace. “So many doors opened,” she stated. “I am one of the health education trainers for the National Basketball Association and National Basketball Players’ Association. Additionally, I have the pleasure of providing health education training for the Major League Baseball Association.” Jackson asserted that the Doctor of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision that she earned in 2016 positioned her to cover a variety of mental wellness topics ranging from depression and anxiety to relationships and sexual health.

She chose to attend Argosy University, Sarasota because of the program’s Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation*. Flexible learning allowed Jackson to combine online and on-ground education. “I had excellent [instructors],” she added. “I still have great relationships with a few of them. They were, and are, great mentors.”

Jackson adds that she received a proclamation from the City of Orlando for outstanding work in urban communities and was recently featured as a psychology professional on a Weather Channel program. She admitted that going to school while working full time was a challenge but encouraged current students to stay focused and complete their degrees.

Programs, credential levels, technology, and scheduling options vary by school and are subject to change. Not all online programs are available to residents of all U.S. states.
